Ribeirão Lagoon, also known as Lagoa do Coração (Heart Lagoon), is in Paulo Lopes and can be seen when coming along the BR-101 toward Gamboa. It connects to the Madre River and is part of the coastal lagoon system, surrounded by Atlantic Forest.
The most visited spots
- Madre River: the river linked to the lagoon, reaching the sea at Guarda do Embaú.
- Praia da Guarda do Embaú: where the boat trip ends.
- Praia da Gamboa: at the end of the road past the lagoon.
