What it is
The Garopaba Kermesse takes place every year around Corpus Christi at Praça Governador Ivo Silveira, with free entry. In 2026 it reached its 26th edition.
What to do
National and local concerts, cultural performances, traditional food and the Corpus Christi religious program, with street carpets, a horse parade, the procession and mass.
Points of interest
- Praça Governador Ivo Silveira: the stage for concerts and food stalls, downtown.
- Capybara Lagoon: where the horse parade and the ox-cart parade go by.
- Garopaba Historic Center: with the São Joaquim Church, a few minutes from the square.
Tips
Entry is free and the square gets crowded at night, especially on concert nights: walk through downtown or arrive early. June nights are cold, so bring a jacket. The lineup and the Corpus Christi program are published close to the date on the organizers' and city government's social media.
Dates and programs may change: check with the organizers before going.
