Ponta do Papagaio, in Palhoça, is a peninsula of preserved forest between Praia do Sonho and Praia da Pinheira. A narrow strip of sand links the mainland to the former Ilha dos Papagaios Grande, forming a beach on each side with very calm water. Next to it is Ilha dos Papagaios Pequena, which is private.
The most visited spots
- The two beaches: the sand strip joining the peninsula to the mainland makes a beach on each side, with very calm water.
- Headland trail: a short walk with views of Araçatuba Island and the south of Santa Catarina Island.
- Ilha dos Papagaios Pequena: next to it, private (seen only from outside).

From the BR-101, take the Praia do Sonho exit: follow Rodovia Evádio Paulo Broering to the roundabout, then Avenida do Papagaio to the end.
Features
