Nêgo Beach is about 500 m from Ouvidor Beach, at the southern tip of Garopaba, around ten minutes on foot along the trail that continues to Praia Vermelha, in Imbituba. It is a tiny beach of coarse sand and rounded stones, between the headland and the forest, facing an island. It has no facilities at all, which is part of its charm.
The most visited spots
- Natural pools: among the rocks, when the sea is calm.
- Praia do Ouvidor: about ten minutes' walk away.
- Passo do Cabrito Beach: the sand crack in the headland, right next to it.
- Ouvidor Beach - Praia Vermelha Trail: the trail that passes the small beach.
- Praia Vermelha: at the end of the trail, already in Imbituba.
Getting there
Take the road to Praia do Rosa: before Rosa, turn left at the Praia do Ouvidor sign. From the Ouvidor parking area, walk along the trail at the south end.
Features
A small, wild beach of coarse sand and many stones, surrounded by rocks and forest, reachable on foot only. At high tide, clear natural pools form among the rocks.
Things to do
Dips in the natural pools when the sea is calm, enjoying the view and taking photos. Combine it with the trail to Praia Vermelha and with Passo do Cabrito, the sandy crack in the headland.
Safety tips
There are no lifeguards or facilities: bring water and sunscreen, check the sea before going in and take your trash back with you.
