On Rodovia Jovino Piucco, the road from downtown Garopaba to Siriú, a sign and a stripe painted on the asphalt mark where the 28th parallel south passes, the imaginary line that circles the planet. Following it east, it crosses the Atlantic Ocean, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Australia and the Pacific, and returns to South America through Chile and Argentina before reaching the Santa Catarina coast again.
It is a quick, curious stop, good for a photo, on the way to the Siriú Dunes.
